The Marriage of fruit from Dry Creek and Alexander Valley produces a full-bodied Zin that embodies the best of both premier growing regions. Ripe plum, cherry, and black raspberry aromas fuse with a touch of black petter and smoky oak. Lush dark cherry, plum and mixed berry layer over coffee and dark chocolate flavors with a sprinkling of white pepper.

"Wow" best describes our '04 Halling Vineyard Zinfandel. Enticing aromas of ripe mixed berries and sweet vanillin oak blend with a dusting of fine-quality black pepper. Delicious layers meld to create a luscious wave of flavors - rich blackberry, raspberry and blueberry, creamy coffee and vanilla, with subtle yet spicy black pepper lacing through the background. From the ideal balance of softening tannins, toasty oak and lush fruit emerges an irrestible wine. Drink now, or if you have the will power cellar it for two to five years to allow the flavors to continue to develop.

This wine is a blend of two Dry Creek Valley vineyards, both well-established benchland vineyards that produce premium grapes. Because we received fewer grapes from each of these vineyards in 2005, we chose to blend them together. Dark, almost brooding, flavors of blackberry, plum and dark cherry create the core of the wine. Toasty oak and black pepper flavors wrap around the fruit, adding a layer of complexity. Give this wine some additional aging and a remarkable and memorable gem will emerge.

Each whiff offers a new series of aromas-blackberry, licorice, cola, black pepper, plum and more. Then all of these characteristics reappear on the palate, tightly wrapped around the raspberry and vanillin oak core. The robust flavors and mouth feel beg for sheppard's pie, beef stew, tri-tip grilled medium-rare or a decadent chocolate dessert. Give this wine a little little cellar aging and you'll find it hard to keep your hands off it.
Alex Vyborny's vineyard, located in the heart of the Alexander Valley, is the source of Deux Amis' 2004 Petite Sirah. The terraced, low yielding vineyard produces incredibly intense and rich fruit year after year.

Our inaugural Pinot Noir exhibits ideal varietal characteristics of Anderson Valley fruit. Aromas of dried cheerries, spice and smoke lead to seductive flavors of cherry, spice, black cherry cola and a touch of forest floor wrapped in a creamy, rich texture. Full-bodied and complex, this wine will continue to improve with age, but only if you can resist the temptation to dring it all now.
